Friday Night Lights Episodes

Ok so episode 5 starts out Tim and Lyla making out at Tim's house while nobodies home. Voodoo and Coach Taylor have a talk behind closed doors, where Voodoo makes the comments: he's not in Dillon to make friends, it's not his home and his only goal is perform on the field and get into LSU.

Tyra meets a young handsome business men named Conner awhile waitressing at Applebee's. He's in town from Los Angeles to appraise the oil fields around Dillon. Tyra accompanies Conner to the fields and the two plan a dinner date for the following night. Instead of Conner picking Tyra up as expected she shows up at his hotel and they get it on.

Matt Saracen and Coach Taylor's daughter Julie show more interest in each other; however Matt still gets bashful and speaks randomly around Julie; he even asked her if she's going to the game on Friday! Jason continues rehab and goes to watch his roommate Herc play Murder Ball. Jason also discovers Herc was once an Olympian.

Lyla and Tim are shown in a post sex scene where Lyla is in her panties dressing. The awkward moment ends with Lyla saying some harsh words leaving Tim with mixed thoughts.

Coach Taylor is frustrated in his decision on who to start for Friday nights game; he doesn't like Voodoo at all, and has trust and respect for Saracen, but ends up choosing Voodoo for a better chance to win. The team travels across town. Lyla stops by to see Jason before the game, followed by Coach Taylor and then the rest if the team. Tim Riggins also sees Jason for the first time since the accident. With Lyla also by Jason's side, the moment of seeing his best friend and secret love, can only make the situation more difficult for Tim. He leaves saying little words and full of emotions. Lyla kisses Jason and goes to the game.

Voodoo starts the game and doesn't listen to Coach Taylor. He changes the play and then runs it in for a touchdown. The next series he throws an interception-- after he changed the play again! At half time Coach blows up on Voodoo and kicks him off the team. The second half is tough, and Riggins, Smash, and Saracen step up big. With 7 seconds left to go They run a reverse to Riggins, Matt makes a key back-side block to give Tim the touchdown. Down by one, and instead of going for the extra point, they attempt to go for two. Smash gets the ball and leaps in for the win. The next day Coach Taylor is all smiles. Around town people a overly friendly with him; however, two men approach Coach Taylor to inform him an investigation is going on regarding the eligibility of Voodoo, which would force the Panthers to forfeit the game.
