Friday Night Lights Episodes

The Panthers receive the kick-off from last week. On the first play Saracen rolls out and guns the ball downfield to an open receiver; however while maneuvering downfield the ball is stripped and the opposing team recovers. Meanwhile Jason Street watches the game via TV from his hospital bed. The game turns sour for Dillon and on the last play Saracen rolls out again but runs for the end zone and gets stopped on the goal line, time expires and Dillon loses the game to Saddleback" a team that hasn't beat them in 17 years! After the game Coach Taylor tells Matt, "Saracen good game, but not good enough."

The next morning while Riggin's drinks his beer, his brother (name still unknown) tells Tim you're supposed to beat those guys (the opposing team) and get some good tail after the game! Lyla goes by Tim's house to once again to get him to see Jason in the hospital. Tim still makes no effort to see Jason and is still overcome by the accident. Lyla continues to see Jason and bring good thoughts; however, her parents and Jason realized that she is in a fantasy world and one evening Jason tells her to leave because she over optimistic for the circumstances.

Coach Taylor and his daughter Julie run into a local at a restaurant who asks Julie if her family has started packing because you don't lose in Dillon. Coach Taylor immediately leaves with Julie avoiding a confrontation. Tyra breaks up with Tim while he hits cans with a golf club and drinks, and the rest of town attends a pancake benefit dinner for Jason's rehab.

Lyla's father shows himself as a main figure in Dillon throughout the episode by giving Coach Taylor constant suggestions and also attempting to bring on a new quarterback, a Hurricane Katrina victim who was a star QB in Louisiana. The coach and Mr. Garrity goto the hotel where the boy is staying and Mr. Garrity talks about benefits for the family if their son joins the Dillon team, but Coach will not have such activity. Instead he tells the boy he's welcome to join the team, but earn his spot on the team.

Tim shows up to school one day and a girl gives him all his homework complete, with a few miss spellings, to make it look like Tim's work. In practice Riggins walks off the field and Smash talks negatively about the coach on the local news. This triggers Coach Taylor to gather the team in the middle of the night and bus them to a muddy creek and hill where the team runs in the rain. He makes Riggins walk home in exchange for leaving practice. While driving home from the hospital Lyla sees Tim walking along the road.Lyla pulls over the car and yells at Tim for not going to see Jason. She starts to hit him, but an instant later TIM AND LYLA ARE MAKING OUT!!!!

Coach Taylor arrives home around 3:00am after the nights little outing. Jason is moved to a rehab clinic. Lyla shows up to help move Jason and he apologies for his behavior the previous night. Lyla looks guilty but still kisses Jason. The next practice the Katrina kid shows up in his Timberland boots and snare look, ready to get padded up.
