On Friday Night Lights Scott will play Jason Street, the team captain and starting quarterback. However, late in the first game of the season Jason threw an interception and made a poor tackle, breaking his spinal cord. Jason, paralyzed from the waist down, did months of rehab while dealing with his relationship with Lyla, and unknown future.

In rehab Jason met a new friend, also in a wheelchair, named Herc. Herc teaches Jason about his "new" body and introduced to a game called "Murder Ball." Jason is immediately attracted to the intense "football-like" game.

Jason and Lyla have been on a "roller coaster" of a relationship since the accident. To start off Jason learns about her and Tim engaging in sexual activities. Since that point a hurt Jason and depressed Lyla have come back together; however, in recently the two ponder their futures.

Known from the boy band and broadway musical "Altar Boyz", Scott Porter is now concentrating on his television career.

Kyle Chandler as Coach Eric Taylor Kyle Chandler plays new head football coach Eric Taylor. Taking control of a team loaded with talent and potential, Coach Taylor must deal with the pressure that comes with Texas football in the small town of Dillon.

Kyle Chandler: Born September 17, 1965, Kyle Chandler grew up on a farm in Loganville, GA. He attended the University of Georgia where he majored in drama. Kyle has featured in many films and other projects such as character Bruce Baxter in the movie "King Kong" and guested stared as Dylan Young on Grey's Anatomy. Kyle's family includes wife Kathryn, two children, and a new baby! They currently live in Los Angeles, CA.

Minka Kelly plays character Lyla Garrity, a Panther cheerleader and Jason Street's girlfriend.

Minka is a cheerleader, beautiful, and the popular girl. Her world was rocked after her all-star boyfriend Jason Street became paralyzed. She complicated things by having a sexual relationship with Tim Riggins. After Jason found out the two separated. Lyla became depressed and stopped seeing Tim. Word got out around school and Lyla suffered from constant harassment by her peers. Her and Jason struggled but eventually started seeing each other again; however, the two still ponder their upcoming futures.

Minka also appeared in "What I Like About You." She has also dated Donald Faison best known from the TV show "Scrubs" as Dr. Turk.

Zach Gilford plays backup quarterback Matt Saracen; however, after Jason Street becomes parallelized, Matt must step up and lead the Panthers. After a ruff start and some "on and off" games, Matt has earned the title of QB-ONE!

Matt Saracen has a tough life for a teenager. His father is a soldier in Iraq, he lives and must care for his grandma, and also works at "Twisters", a small ice cream place similar to "Foster Freeze." On top of those responsibilities, Matt maintains good grades, runs the Dillon Panther offense, and recently a relationship with Julie Taylor, that's right-- Coach Taylor daughter!

Taylor Kitsch plays Tim Riggins, a linebacker and full-back who blocks for fellow teammate and running back Brian Williams. Tim is a rebel but he's also a leader based on intimidation.

Football and Texas are two huge parts of Tim's life. Jason Street is also Tim's best friend; however that's damaged after Jason's accident due to a relationship that starts between Lyla and Tim. Tim is loved by the rally girls and is the ex-boyfriend of Tyra Collette. Tim lives with his Brother Billy, who works hard to support Tim and their home; however, Billy also lives through Tim, and the opportunities he did not capitalize on. Tim has a poor relationship with his father; however that may change.

Taylor Kitsch: Brithday April 9. Grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Jesse Plemons plays Landry Clarke the best friend of backup, now starting quarterback Matt Saracen.

Landry is looked at as more an outsider; however, he still has a decent personality. He is also smart and has even helped Tim Riggins with homework and given advise, maybe not the best, to Matt on dating. Landry also helps Matt out a lot. He gives Matt rides in car, let's him use his cell phone, and even watches Matt's grandma.

Coach Taylor refers to Landry as "Lance."

Gaius plays running back Brian "Smash" Williams. His character is an obvious match to that of Boobie Miles from Friday Night Lights the movie; Brian brings to the Friday Night Lights TV show attitude, talent, and style of the star running back.

Smash is a charmer. He loves the ladies, and loves attention. He is a junior running back and his goals are to be recruited to a big university and eventually be able to support his family. His mom he always watching him. She is a hard working and strong woman who wants the best for Smash and her children.

Smash suffers from anxiety of not performing well on the field and chooses to use steroids, which eventually he is caught with by mama which he then pays the consequences for. Smash also is a vocal leader and is vital to the Dillon Panther Offense.

Gaius Charles: Born May 2. he currently lives in Teaneck, New Jersey. Gaius also recently graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in drama.

Aimee Teegarden plays Julie Taylor, the daughter of new head coach Eric Taylor on Friday Night Lights TV show. Julie is a good student and very stubborn.

Julie recently started dating quarterback Matt Saracen. She also started hanging out with Tyra which has gotten her into trouble. She must deal with the pressure of both her relationship with Matt and her dad as the all important head football coach. Julie and Matt are both new at dating and are go through the awkward stages of relationships. The two however, make a good couple and both compliment each others intelligence and goals.

Aimee Teegarden: Birthday: October 10th. Aimee was born and still lives in Southern California. She has modeled for several big-named brands such as Old Navy, Tommy Hilfiger, and has made appearances on other tv shows.

Adrianne Palicki plays Tyra Collette, the town vixen. Tyra is very sassy character and unlike most of her peers looks beyond the small town of Dillon, Texas to pursue her dreams.

Tyra is Tim Riggins ex-girlfriend. He mom works at Buddy Garrity's car lot, and her sister works at the local strip-club. Tyra has had to deal with her mom's poor choices in men. She is very independent and has been teaching Julie Taylor about boys.

Adrianne Palicki: Born May 6 1983. Originally from Ohio she currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. Adrianne is best known as character Brianna from "South Beach"; however, she has made appearances on tv shows such as "Smallville", "Supernatural", and "North Shore" just to name a few.

Connie Britton plays Tami Taylor the wife of new head football coach Eric Taylor.

Tami works as a Dillon High School counselor. Tami is a very intelligent woman who fully supports her husband, Head Coach Eric Taylor, her daughter Julie, and the students at Dillon high. She is a person many of the students trust and feel comfortable with. Tami has helped Lyla with her infidelities, and Tim with academics.

Connie Britton is defiantly one of the more talented actors on the show. She actually played the real wife of Billy Bob Thornton in the movie "Friday Night Lights."
