Should Roise O'Donnell be on FNL?

Out of 820 votes 90% of you said NO! Hopefully Friday Night Lights keeps her away from the show.

» Most Recent Poll
- 17 Aug 2007 4:14pm
In the most recent poll, "Will Matt and Julie Have Sex?", 75% of you said YES! There were 1218 votes casted, meaning 914 of you thought YES and 304 people thought NO. So far the 25% of you that answered No are correct. Matt and Julie have had yet to have sex. Maybe season 2 will be the couples opportunity, or maybe they will find other partners?

» Rosie O'Donnell on FNL?
- 17 Aug 2007 4:07pm
This rumor is about a month old now but I think I should still mention it. There has been talk that Rosie O'Donnell might join the "Friday Night Lights" cast for a few episodes. In those segments Rosie's character would be the Dillon High School soccer coach. The soccer coach makes an uproar about the Athletic Department giving too much money to the football program. This part would fit Rosie's personality great; however, because of all the recent activity in Rosie's career, it could be a Risky move on FNLs part.

» Busy Scott
- 17 Aug 2007 3:54pm
Scott Porter will appear in two upcoming movies. The first is "Speed Racer". In the film, Scott plays the older brother of Speed; Rex Racer. The other movie is "Prom Night" where Scott will play character Bobby. The movies were shot throughout the summer but Scott now must return to the set of "Friday Night Lights" in order to start filming the shows second season. Upon FNL's return, Jason Street works as the Panther's Assistant Coach. He must help the team integrate into the new head Coach's style and rules.

» Chris Mulkey Plays Role as New Coach
- 17 Aug 2007 3:43pm
Chris Mulkey is the newest member of the Friday Night Lights cast. He takes over for Coach Taylor, as the new Dillon high school head football coach. Coach Taylor is of course moving to Austin to take a coaching job with TMU. Coach Taylor will still remain the main character on the show. As Mulkey's character changes the Panther's style, many team members begin to not like their new coach. Jason Street as the assistant coach must calm the situation.

Also joining the cast is Glenn Morshower who will play Landry Clark's dad who is also a police officer. Another edition is Daniella Alonso who plays a nurse caring for Grandma Saracen.

Friday Night Lights got screwed over again and has not been nominated for any Emmies despite its powerful and proven acting by Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton.  This may be bad news for us her and the rest of Lights... they are fading fast. With some leaked spoilers floating around the net that point at FNL pushing the envelope, desperate measures are being taken with the show to keep the field a-glow.

» FNL to "Drive Right" in Fall
- 16 Jul 2007 6:35pm

An article in USAToday reveals a new direction for Friday Night Lights-- Women! Specifically 35-49 year-old Women. Executive producer Jason Katims thinks Women will like Friday Night Lights "as much, if not more than men." David Nevins, another executive producer, tells USAToday that FNL will "drive right" in the fall and newly appointed program chief Ben Silverman "wants to bring sexy back." Also, Friday Night Lights will have less football scenes.

The storyline will resume this fall with the attempted sexual assault of Tyra which occurred in episode 20, "Mud Bowl."

According to USATODAY, out of 63,000 online votes, 49% of those want Friday Night Lights to return next season! One of the questions with "Lights" as they call it, is whether the TV show is a football drama or a family soap? Either way, this is good news for Friday Night Lights!

» Two-Week Delay BUT...
- 13 Mar 2007 1:22am
Friday Night Lights will return on March 21, 2007. The last episode was number 18. That means there are only 4 more episodes left for this season. That's four more episodes of Kyle Chandler, Minka Kelly,  Taylor Kitsch, and Zach Gilford. Friday Night Lights has not over performed nor under performed;rather, Friday Night Lights has averaged around 7 million viewers an episode while at NBC's 7/8c central time Wednesday and previously Tuesday nights.
Personally I feel Friday Night Lights is one of the best shows on TV. Unlike other popular shows, Friday Night Lights packs the biggest punches in acting  values, lessons, and life. I hope thyis show prevais. So lefts gather together and start some more chatter in the FORUMS
ad some more quotes to the QUOTES Page

» Best FNL Episode Yet!
- 23 Feb 2007 6:02pm

Episode 117,"I Think We Should Have Sex", was the best Friday Night Lights episode yet. The writers threw out all the cards, and sex was defiantly the Joker! The performances by Kyle Chandler were once again excellent, but the talent of Connie Britton shinned the most. Look for a full-episode recap and screen caps from the episode soon.

This show can not be canceled, it is just too good, and getting better. Keep spreading the word people!

» 5 Reasons To Watch Friday Night Lights
- 12 Dec 2006 2:12pm

I found an article over at iVillage detailing five reasons to watch Friday Night Lights. In summary the following outline their reasons with some of mine:

1.) Family- The show captures family more than football. Examples include, Coach Taylor and his realtionships with his wife Tami and daughter Julie. Matt Saracen taking care of his Grandma is another good example.

2.) Loyalty- The Panthers take carte of each other; they got each others back. When the team hears Tim hit Jason (which he didn't), they show up at Riggin's place and beat his truck up with bats.

3.) Teen angst- The years of being a teen, trying to find your idenity and who you want to become. At the same time worry about for popularity and reputation.

4.) Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton- Two of the best actors on Friday Night Lights, as well on any TV drama-- really Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton are both very talented!

5.) The Writing and Directing- The best. The frist episode was weird, but after that the storyline has taken off expenentially. It's varly believable, and caputres high school life, football and relationships, very well.

» Minka Kelly on Carson
- 2 Dec 2006 4:29am
Last Night Minka Kelly appeared on Carson Daly's Last Call (Nov. 30, 2006). It marked her first late night show appearance! Minka and Carson talked about Friday Night Lights, how her Mom made-up the unique name of Minka, and her role in the movie "The Kindom" staring Jamie Foxx. Carson questioned the shows poor start in which Minka explained the premise of the Friday Night Lights; how it’s more about the characters lives and not so much on football. Carson also signs a football (Game Ball) and presents it too Minka.

» Friday Night Lights makes Playoffs!
- 13 Nov 2006 11:19pm
Its official, NBC has ordered another 9 episodes of Friday Night Lights, putting it into the "post-season"-- basically saving the show!

A total 22 episodes will complete the first season. Averaging 6.1 million viewers, Friday Night Lights, although praised by the critics, has underperformed NBC's expectations.  Ranked 81 on Nielsen Media ratings, Friday Night Lights comes in behind the re-run of Grey's Anatomy on Friday Nights! Tuesday has been a difficult day for the show, with ABC's Dancing with the Stars capturing the most viewers for the same as Friday Night Lights.

YOU can help though, by spreading the word about this intense new drama. I know a lot of people think the Friday Night Lights TV show is just like the movie, so remind them that this Friday Night Lights goes way more into every aspect of the characters that are played by actors and actresses who are talented and pretty good looking!

Git 'Er Done was amazing! The show keeps getting better and better. Friday Night Lights did so well last night, it got more viewers than Prison Break! Episode 5 recap should be up soon, and an entire page dedicated to Tim Riggins Taylor Kitsch. And remember, episode 5 can be viewed tonight at its regular time 8/7c on NBC!

» Don't Forget
- 30 Oct 2006 8:54pm
Episode 5,  "Fourth Quarter Belongs To Us", airs tonight! 10-11 p.m.  on NBC.

» Opening Song
- 25 Oct 2006 1:07pm
Many people are asking me what the song played in the opening of the show is... the song is titled, "Your Hand In Mine" by Explosions in the Sky. They are featured on the Friday Night Lights movie soundtrack. I really like the song, I feel it provides good start to the show... starting off slow and then gradually building to a great bass and drum line.

» 9 More Please!
- 23 Oct 2006 12:23am
Nine more episodes of Friday Night Lights  have been "ordered" by NBC. The show showed some improvment in the ratings last week compaired to under-paar results the previous weeks. This is Good news!!! I just hope that the show gets more viewers and stays at its tuesday night slot; talk has circulated that the show could be moved to Friday? Yeah... that would make a lot of sense, airing "Friday Night Lights" on Friday night when most of the country is out of the house, away from their TVs, watching real football games? If NBC pulls that manuver I may never watch that network again! They already canned the best show ever-- "American Dreams."
